300 ml : $8.80
300 ml + 50 ml : $10.60

$10.60 - $8.80 = $1.80

For an extra 50 ml, you pay $1.80 more.

Pretend that you can buy extra in amounts of 50 ml.

Now , an extra 300ml would be 6 times of 50ml. That would have cost 6 x $1.80 = $10.80

Notice that this 300ml is more expensive than the $8.80 you paid for the original 300 ml in option A

Which means 50ml of it would be more expensive than each 50ml of the original 300ml in option A.

So option B is actually not as worth as you're paying more for this extra 50ml than you did for each 50ml portion in the option A.

Option A is a better choice.
