a) From diagram, 5 length = 3 length +3 breadth
2 length = 3 breadth
2length = 3 x 8 = 24
length = 12cm
b) side of square = 12-8 = 4
area of a square = 4 x 4 = 16
area of 3 squares = 16 x 3 = 48cm^2
2 length = 3 breadth
2length = 3 x 8 = 24
length = 12cm

area of a square = 4 x 4 = 16
area of 3 squares = 16 x 3 = 48cm^2
