Let Devi’s storybooks be 8 units.

Then 3/4 of Devi’s storybooks is 6 units.

We can see, from here, that 2/3 of Zainal’s storybooks must be 6 units.

Zainal must have had 9 units of storybooks.

Ratio Devi : Zainal must be 8 : 9.

Mathematically, change both denominator of the fraction to the same denominator to compare.

D: 3/4 = 9/12
Z: 2/3 = 8/12

Therefore taking the numerator,
D : Z
9 : 8
