= 8 * x^3 * y^4 divided by (12/5 * x * y)
= collect like terms together
= 8 divided by (12/5) * x^3 divided by x * y^4 divided by y
= 8 * 5 / 12 * x^2 * y^3
= 40/12 * x^2 * y^3
= 10/3 x^2 y^3
= 8 * x^3 * y^4 divided by (12/5 * x * y)
= collect like terms together
= 8 divided by (12/5) * x^3 divided by x * y^4 divided by y
= 8 * 5 / 12 * x^2 * y^3
= 40/12 * x^2 * y^3
= 10/3 x^2 y^3

You need to group “like” expressions together. Numbers should be collected with numbers and letters with letters.
