assume all are honeydews by raising the price of the 5 coconut by $2 each to become the price of 5 honeydews. now the price is all equal for you to divide througout and find the cost of 1 honeydew, then one coconut. since she bought an equal number of coconuts and honeydews, you can group them into pairs, so 1 pair consists of 1 coconut and one honeydew. you find the price of one pair, then take the amount the spent divide by the price of one pair to find the number of such pairs. in this case there are 4 pairs, so she bought 4 honeydews and 4 coconuts. the question is asking for no. of honeydews, so she basically bought 4 honeydews. hope this helps!
