… mistake in final answer due to use of incorrect double angle formula for cos
… shud be cos 2x = 2(cos x)^2 -1

… it is good practice to give answer in the same format as the question … this question gives angle in radians so answer should also be in radians.

Probably a slight transcript error in writing cos 2x = cos^2 x - 1

although the final answer for the angle seems a bit unusual, a check against a computer plot of the curve shows that the answer to be correct.

the computer plot of the curve is shown for reference.

we use dA/d0 = 0 to find the turning point.
although the question does not state that it is necessary to check that this turning point is a maximum point, it is a good practice to do a final check using 1st or 2nd derivative test. this helps to check in case we have made a mistake in the working somewhere.
