Printer E has already done the job of printing a book, so I wonder how printer F manages to print THE SAME book.

Question is poorly phrased. If a book has already been printed, how can printer F print the same book again?

Since printer E can print a book in 3 hours, printer E can print 1/3 of the book in 1 hour.

Since printer F can print a SIMILAR book in 7 hours, printer F can print 1/7 of the book in 1 hour.

Putting both machines together, assuming they operate independently and do not interfere with each other, they will print 1/3 + 1/7 = 10/21 of a similar book in 1 hour.

So, the time taken to finish printing a similar book
= 1 divided by (10/21)
= 21/10 hours
= 2 hours + 1 / 10 hours
= 2 hours + 6 minutes
= 2 hours 6 minutes
