Essentially a simul solving question.
x + y + 1 = 3x - 4 (Eq 1)
2y - x = x + 2 (Eq 2)
Eq 1: y = 2x - 5
Eq 2: 2y = 2x + 2 OR y = x + 1
Then, we have
2x - 5 = x + 1
x = 6
Perimeter of triangle
= 2 * (3x - 4 + x + 2)
= 8x - 4
= 8 (6) - 4
= 44 cm
Check that x = 6 is a valid solution when resubstituted to each individual side of the parallelogram.
