The equation is already in completed square form, so this is what we need to do.

1. Find the turning point of the curve.
2. Determine whether the shape is a smiley face or a sad face curve. Smiley face curve gets us a minimum point while sad face curve gets us a maximum point.
3. Find the y-intercept of the curve.
4. (Optional in general, and not all the time these exist, but for this specific question we must find them as part of the question’s requirement) Find the x-intercept of the curve.
