378= (2ⅹ3³)×7
Compared 2 prime factor, 54 is 2ⅹ 3 ³
The other number should be 7.

How about what is the smallest value of n such that the lcm is n and 6 is 24

For this LCM....
6 = 2 × 3
24 = 2³ × 3
My idea of finding n is look for different of product of prime factor...
The different here is 2 and 2³ so for LCM, we always look for highest prime notation. i.e 2³ for this case. Answer is 8.

As for 54 = 2 × 3³
378 = 2 × 3³ × 7
Compared the different, here the different is 7, so n=7. 7¹ is highest prime notation for this case.
