Hi, hope this is helpful:
1. “Harry had 4 times as many stamps as Lucas” - means if Lucas has 1 unit of stamps, Harry has 4 units (refer to attached photo)
2. “Harry had 24 more stamps than Lucas”- means the 3 units = 24 stamps
3. Calculate the number of stamps Lucas have (means to calculate what is 1 unit). If 3 units = 24 stamps, then 1 unit = how many stamps?
