Working backwards might help
1. At the end, Kenneth had 3 times as many cards as Rauf
2. From the model, add the 36 cards Rauf lost and 6 cards Kenneth lost, to get the same original number or cards
3. Visually you should be able to see that 2 units would be 36-6=30 based on the difference

After adding back 6 and 36, they should have the same number.
