“His money” = 4 units

So the ring costs 1 unit.
The bag costs 1 unit + $10.

He had $90 left.

Now, this means that if the bag costs $10 less instead, such that the bag’s cost is also 1 unit, then he would have $100 left.

In this scenario, he would have 2 units of money left (because 1 unit is used for the ring and 1 unit is used for the bag).

2 units = $100
1 unit = $50

so the cost of the bag is $50 + $10 = $60.
