Hang on, looking to see if Long division works (a Sec 4 approach would make this easy, but then I am sure there are Sec 3 approaches); give me some moments

I will send in a second, very similar set of workings to try and better explain the scenario

Good evening Candice! Here are my workings for this question. I may not have explained the workings properly this time, let me know if you need more explanation.

Good morning Mr Eric, could u advise me how to figure out how the curve looks like without graphing it out? Thanks.

The graph will be quite complicated. The guidelines to draw will be covered in JC1, and you will need to know these things from Sec 4 and JC1.

- Knowledge of limits and asymptotes
- Turning points

We need these two things (minimally) to be able to draw out the graph. Asymptotes are simply lines which a graph simply approaches, but never actually comes into contact with, the line of interest (think of the graph of y = 1/x, the line comes closer to the axes, but just never ever touches the axes).

With these, we can draw the graph.

In short, the graph is simply for illustration purposes at your level and you are not actually required to draw them out.
