$186 for 15 plates and 11 bowls
$64 for 5 plates and 4 bowls

If 5 plates and 4 bowls cost $64, then three sets of those (15 plates and 12 bowls) cost $192.

Let’s look at the scenario again.

$192 for 15 plates and 12 bowls
$186 for 15 plates and 11 bowls

The difference in this is just a single bowl for $6.

Number of bowls which can be bought with $250
= $250/$6, rounded down
= 41 (remainder 4) rounded down
= 41

The idea is to make either the number of plates or the number of bowls the same for direct comparison.
