Observe that the numerator is the exact differential of the denominator.

Expressions where the numerator is a constant multiplier of the derivative of the denominator will integrate to ln (denominator expression).

Here, it becomes ln (1 + sin x), valid for values of x which do not make sin x equal to 0 (for the original expression) or -1 (for this ln expression).
