Kate and Shirley are travelling on the same road in opposite directions towards each other, with no backtracking.
Clearly, they must meet somewhere, regardless of how fast or slow they travel.
If your graph does not show them meeting, possibly you have drawn in the wrong direction, or you need to extend your time range.
