Does the misleading point have something to do with the years?

The misleading aspect of the graph is the years. There is a gap between 2012 and 2016.
This can lead to a mis-interpretation that there was a sharp increase in sales of laptops from 2012 to 2016 which might not be the case. It could be that there was a steady increase between those years
