Why is Y the positive terminal? Isnt anode positively charged? Please help thks

not asking if Y is anode or cathode
next,
R attracts M+ cations, this makes R the cathode & S the anode.
For S to be anode, it has to be "positively charged".
Last, since S is connected to Y, this makes Y to have positive polarity,
& the positive terminal of the dry cell
