Imagine there are only adults and no dogs at first.

If there are 126 eyes, that means there are 126 legs as well, as there are the same number for eyes and legs for adults. However, there are now 196 legs.

This will mean there are 196-126=70 more legs that are suppose to be there, which comes from the dogs. However, the dogs have twice as many legs as adults do, so that would make 70/2= 35 dogs present in the show. You can hence find the number of adults. Try using a model, with the top bar being eyes and bottom legs, and then have a portion be adults and the other dogs. Hope it helps!
