The overlapping region is 1 unit.
Total area = 8 + 3 - 1 = 10 units (since there are 11 units but then 1 unit is gone due to the overlap)
8 units is 116 cm2
1 unit is 14.5 cm2.
10 units is 145 cm2
So the area is 145 cm2.
