The first answer choice. Fold in the "outer folds" as though it was a piece of paper. The second one if you fold the outer triangles inwards, all the triangles are the same size and overlap. You will get a single downward pointing triangle.

Think of origami paper folded inwards along the lines. The first one is the correct answer.
