Backward calculation:
Remaining money:
2/3 + $7
1/3 = $16 + $7 = 23
Therefore 3/3 = 23 x 3 =$69

For book, 1/6 + $26 [Total= 6/6 or 6u]
Same as 1u + 26,
Therefore, 5u = 26 + 69 = 95
5u=95
1u = 19
Total = 6u = 6 x 19 = $114.
