I know that EPS = Net income/shares outstanding. But I'm not sure how to calculate shares outstanding.
I saw in another example that instead of directly using the number (54.3) from the table in the formula, I should calculate 54.3 - 4 * 2. Is this true? Why?

Please help me. Thanks.
