Misread the question the first time. I had thought 20% of the number of pieces of notes is made up of $5 notes.

The $5 notes take up 20% of the total value of the $150 money.

Total value of $5 notes
= 20% x $150
= 1/5 x $150
= $30

Number of pieces of $5 notes
= 30/5
= 6

Don't confuse the percentage of "money" with percentage of "number of notes".
