One Answer Below
Anyone can contribute an answer, even non-tutors.
Is the answer number 2?
22.75kg?
At the end, there are thrice as much sugar in Bag A as Bag B.
Now we let the number of units of sugar in Bag A be 3 units and in Bag B be 1 unit.
The total mass of sugar remains unchanged at 28.2 kg, assuming no spillage.
4 units —> 28.2 kg
1 unit —> 7.05 kg
3 units —> 21.15 kg
This is after 5.45 kg of rice is transferred from Bag A to Bag B. Before that, the mass of sugar in Bag A
= 21.15 + 5.45
= 26.6 kg
1 unit = 7.05kg
3 units = 21.15kg
Amount of sugar in Bag A at first = 21.15 + 5.45 = 26.6kg
