triangle CDF = 24

triangle CDF = 0.5 x CD x GD

so
0.5 x CD x GD = 24
CD x GD = 48

area of ABCD = CD x AD
= CD x (AG + GD)
= CD x (GD + GD)
= CD x 2 GD
= 2 x CD x GD
= 2 x 48
= 96 cm²

you can just use 24 x 4 = 96. This is because Area of triangle CDF= Area of triangle CDG. Since AG = DG, there are two similar rectangles inside of ABCD. Area of triangle CDG = area of half of the rectangle. Thus, you just need to 24 x4 to find the whole of ABCD.
