Tank volume 80 ⅹ 55 ⅹ ⅹ 75 = 330000
Tank at 7/8 tank full = 7/8ⅹ330000 = 288750
1000cm³→1 litre
Therefore, 288750 =288.75 l
Tank volume at 1st = 288.75-112
= 176.75 litre.
b) Mary pour in 1/8 of the tank volume + 1500ml
[ 1cm³ = 1ml]
= 330000×1/8 + 1500
= 41250 + 1500
= 42750 ml. Or 42.75 litre.
