I am confused. Isn't it supposed to be 1P + 2S not 1P + 1S = 5.35
7 pens and 7 staplers =$38.15
So you divide the whole equation by 7
So you divide the whole equation by 7
You subtracted 32.80 from 38.15 to get 5.35.
That 5.35 is the difference between the cost of 2 staplers and 1 pen, not the sum of 1 pen and 2 staplers.
I.e 2S - 1P = $5.35 , not 2S + 1P = $5.35
