1st equation is formed because of the 1:1 ratio whereby the men are all present and 10 women left.
3u+10 is derived as the initial number of men present because of the 3:5 ratio after 10 men left

Using ratio:

We look at the original ratio of Men and Women in both scenarios, concluded that 1u=2p+10 and 1u+10=5p

Work out to find p=10

Total --- 3p+10+5p = 3(10)+10+5(10) =90
