That extra ticket must have cost $6 + $2 = $8.

Cost of 3 tickets
= 3 x 8
= $24

Amount of money
= 24 + 6
= $30

Not a good method. Primary 4 students would not have learnt a Secondary 2 method of forming two simultaneous equations in two variables x and y (in fact, they only learn algebra in Primary 6).
