Jen bought 1 banana and 4 tart : 12.40
Shan bought 1 banana and 20 tart : 25.20
The different item Shan and Jen was 16 tart
The different amount : 25.20-12.40= 12.80
Therefore 16 tarts = 12.80
1 tart = $0.80
4 tart = $3.20
So, Jen bought 1 banana cake and 4 tart ($3.20) = $12.40
1 banana cake = 12.40-3.20 = $9.20.
Rani bought 5 banana cake= 5 x 9.20= $46.00
Hope this helps
