a) Large donuts
4 for $15
1 L = 15÷4 = $3.75
Small donuts
6 for $12
1 S = 12÷6 =$2
The different price for a large and a small = 3.75-2= $1.75
Given she said $189 more for large donuts
Hence, number of large donuts she bought = $189÷$1.75 = 108
Since she bought equal number of large and small donuts, therefore, total number of donuts = 108+108 = 216.

b) Nurul spent equal amount of money,
Common multiple for $15 & $12 is $60
Large donuts, $15 for 4 donuts
$60 can buy $60÷$15 ×4 =16 donuts
Small donut, $12 for 6 donuts.
$60 can buy $60÷$12 ×4 = 20 donuts.
Ratio L:S = 16:20
4:5.
Hope this helps.
