basically you have to find the volume of the cube (6×6×6) and add it with the volume of water in the beaker

The question wants you to find the new volume of the container after the block is added because the block (6×6×6 cm3) takes up space so the volume will increase.

The answer is: A) 216cm3. As it is asking the volume, it is 6cm×6cm×6cm.
