Notice for white square = number patterns x 4 + 4
a) Pattern 5 = 5 x4 + 4 = 24
b) Black square = pattern number x pattern number
Therefore , pattern 7 = 7 x 7= 49
c) pattern 10
White = 10 x4+4= 44
Black = 10x10= 100
Total square = 100+44=144
