Good morning Candice! I obtained both t = 10 and t = 24. After rereading the question again, there is no indication to which value of t is to be accepted, and what’s more, the modulus symbol in the shoelace formula makes all spread positive.
So, we have no choice but to just “blindly” accept the solution t = 24 as it is, even though both values are valid.
