The total cost of 4 similar tables and 16 similar chairs is $945. A table cost thrice as much as a chair.How much will 4 such chairs cost?

Table is 3 times the cost of a chair. This means that the 4 tables cost as much as 12 chairs.
Let’s pretend the person replaces the 4 tables with 12 chairs. There is no change to the price. Altogether, 28 chairs are being bought for $945.
Cost of 1 chair
= 945 / 28
= $33.75
and the cost of 1 table
= $33.75 x 3
= $101.25
So, cost of 4 chairs
= $33.75 x 4
= $135
