You need to be patient as workings from the tutors typically take some time. This may take anywhere from minutes to days or even unanswered. On average, a question is answered between half an hour and 3 hours from the posting time if the question is not posted very late.

4 tables and 16 chairs cost \$945.

Table is 3 times the cost of a chair. This means that the 4 tables cost as much as 12 chairs.

Let’s pretend the person replaces the 4 tables with 12 chairs. There is no change to the price. Altogether, 28 chairs are being bought for \$945.

Cost of 1 chair
= 945 / 28
= \$33.75

and the cost of 1 table
= \$33.75 x 3
= \$101.25

So, cost of 4 chairs
= \$33.75 x 4
= \$135
