Number of adults = 3/5
Number of children = 1 - 3/5
= 2/5
Number of boys = 2/5 x 2/3
= 4/15

Thanks but do you know how to do (b)

See 1 Answer

3/5 - 4/15 = 140 people
1/3 = 140 people
Total number of people at the concert
= 140 * 3
= 420

Number of adults = 420*3/5 = 252
Number of boys = 4/15 * 420 = 112
Number of girls = 420-112-252 = 56

Since 1/8 are boys after some of them left
7/8 are adults and girls

7/8 = 252+56 = 308
Number of boys still at the concert
= 308/7 = 44

Therefore number of boys who left
= 112-44 = 68
