Each roll of ribbon is 2500 cm long.

Pieces of length 110 cm are to be cut out.

2500 divided by 110 is 22, with a remainder of 80. The extra 80 cm cannot be combined with a second 80 cm to form the 110 cm lengths, so the excess 80 cm per roll is considered wasted.

200 divided by 22 is 9, with a remainder of 20. So 9 rolls will not have been sufficient.

10 rolls are needed.

See 1 Answer

25m=2500cm
110cm —->1 pc
2500cm = 2500/110= 22.72727273
Only can get 22 pieces.
200/22= 9.090909091
9 roll can get =9x22=198 pieces.
Therefore need another roll.
Total at least need 10 rolls for 200 pieces.
Hope this helps
