68% of total coursework marks

= 68% of 40% of total marks for module

= 68/100 x 40% of total marks for module

= 27.2% of total marks for module

In order to pass she needs 61% for total marks.

61% - 27.2% = 33.8%

She needs 33.8% more to pass.

This 33.8% of total module marks is scored from the finals, which is 60% of total.

So 33.8% of total ÷ 60% of total

= 33.8 ÷ 60
= 169/300

Since the finals are based upon 110 marks, she need to score 169/300 of that.

169/300 x 110
= 61 29/30 marks

She needs to score 61 29/30 marks to get 61% overall to pass.

The required percentage for the test
= 169/300 x 100%
= 56 ⅓ %
