4a) Since its a quadratic equation, there is a need to find the maximum/minimum point. This can be done by equating the absolute expression with 0 and solving for x.
4b) Should be rather straightforward. Similarly, finding the point where the graph changes can be found by equating the absolute expression with 0.
5) By substituting one equation with the other, you get an expression with an absolute bracket on one side. This means both options, positive and negative, has to be taken into consideration. However, if you can see how the equations are graphed, you can see we are able to only find for one option of the two. Try it out!
