common factor = 2 x 2 x 3 = 12
cut to equal length of 12 cm long
48-cm becomes 4 pieces of 12-cm
60-cm becomes 5 pieces of 12-cm
72-cm becomes 6 pieces of 12-cm
total = 15 pieces
