For this you will need to make an imagination. How many sides are there in a cube?

There are six surfaces, all of which are identical squares. Left, right, top, bottom, front and back surfaces.

Each surface must be 54/6 = 9 cm^2.

As we well know, we need to find two same numbers which multiply to 9 since the lengths of a square are equal. If you have not learnt the square root yet, it’s alright. We just find two numbers which multiply to 9.

That’s 3, because 3 x 3 = 9.

So each side of the square is 3 cm.

Its volume is 3 x 3 x 3 = 27 cm^3.
