Add the 3 numbers together.
Divide the result obtained by 3.
This is the average of the 3 numbers

See 1 Answer

Average = (1.51 + 2.02 + 3.4) / 3 = 2.31

Hi, the denominator is 3 because there are three numbers for which you have to find the average. If there are 4 numbers, the denominator would be 4. If 5 numbers, the denominator would be 5 and so on..
