180° - 100° = 80°

x° and the angle above it are equal.

They are alternate angles since they are between two parallel lines cut by a tranversal line, and are on opposite sides of the transversal.

So that angle is also x°.

Then this angle and the angle adjacent to the 100° angle are also alternate angles for the same reason, but between a different pair of parallel lines from the case above.

So that angle is also x° .


180° - 100° = 80° is based on the property that adjacent angles in a parallelogram add up to 180°.


Therefore x° = 80°
