Area of rectangle is 10*2=20
Area of overlap is 1/2*2*2=2
20-2=18cm square.
Area of overlap is 1/2*2*2=2

The folded region is divided into trangle “A” & rectangle “B”. The total area will be sum of the area of these regions. I hope this helps.
