(a) Tick all the boxes but not 'Addition of tube'.
(b) The aim is to find out if the presence of the tube would affect the volume of the water which is flowing in the flask.

Setup X : Since the tube is not added, the air did not escape hence occupied some space inside the flask, allowing only some of the water to flow inside the flask.
Setup Y : Since the tube is added, the air escaped through the tube allowing all the water to flow inside the flask.
