Anyone can contribute an answer, even non-tutors.
how to solve part (ii)?
So the term independent of x, when multiplied by the 2 in the left hand side expression, will still be independent of x.
Now, the left hand side expression has a 3/x². To get to a term independent of x, it must be multiplied by a term containing x² so that the x² and 1/x² can cancel each other out.
So multiply 3/x² by the term with x² in i). Multiply the term independent of x in i) by the 2 .
Add them together to get your answer. You should get 500.
