Buy small packet, $0.30 left
Buy big packet, $0.50 short
If she wants to change to a big packet from a small packet, her 30c left is not enough to pay for the difference. She needs another 50c.
This tells you that the big packet costs
50c + 30c = 80c more than the small one.
