The total length of the 6 strings is 72 m.
The total length of the 4 middle strings is 42 m.

The longest and the shortest string must be 30 m altogether.

Let smallest string be 1 unit.
Longest string = 1 unit + 15.8 m

2 units + 15.8 m --> 30 m
2 units --> 14.2 m
1 unit --> 7.1 m

So the length of the longest string is 7.1 + 15.8 = 22.9 m.
